The Customer Service reps from Dashlane are exceedingly polite. I use the latest version of Dashane, and the latest OS systemīelow is a series of problems & steps I had to take to uninstall the versions bothįrom the App Store and the web download site. I have several 17" Macbook Pro computers. I seriously wonder if it's a security threat. I contacted the company, but the more I thought about it, I figured it was best to just uninstall it right away. It actually showed up as "not responding" in the Force Quit list, something I hadn't seen for my browser since back in my PC days. I've also had Safari freeze up twice now today, something it has never done before even once in the 15 months that I've had this iMac. When the primary function of the app is to manage passwords, the fact that it doesn't do something the SAME WAY each time is concerning. One time, it will log you in without entering any information, and the next time it will only load in the user/pw fields, leaving you to click the login yourself. And I'm sure glad I did.ĭashlane doesn't act the same way on the same websites on different visits. I only loaded a few test passwords into Dashlane for websites I didn't care much about, just to check it out before adding any more. Since then I've had one strange error after another. I installed Dashlane two days ago, after the glowing review on the front page of the New York Times business section last week (June 6).
